Always use VendGros messaging for communications with buyers or sellers. This creates a record that protects you if issues arise.

- Use a strong, unique password
- Never share your login credentials
- Log out when using shared devices
Trust Your Instincts
If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Be cautious of unusually low prices, pressure to act quickly, or requests to bypass normal processes.
For Buyers
Before Ordering
- Review the seller’s profile and listings carefully
- Read listing descriptions, including pickup location details
- Ask questions through the platform before placing an order
- Start with smaller orders from new sellers
Payment Safety
- Pay the deposit through VendGros: The 5% deposit secures your order and is paid through our secure platform
- Pay the balance at pickup: The remaining amount is paid directly to the seller when you collect your items
- Agree on payment method: Confirm with the seller how you’ll pay at pickup (cash, e-transfer, etc.) before meeting
At Pickup
- Inspect items before completing payment
- Count quantities and check quality
- Document any issues with photos
- Only pay after verifying your order is correct
For Sellers
Account Security
- Keep your contact information up to date
- Monitor your account for unauthorized activity
- Respond to messages through the platform
Order Safety
- Wait for deposit confirmation: Only prepare orders after the buyer’s deposit is confirmed through VendGros
- Communicate clearly: Confirm pickup time and location with the buyer
- Document everything: Keep records of communications and transactions
Getting Paid
- Collect payment directly from the buyer at pickup
- Agree on payment method before meeting (cash, e-transfer, etc.)
- Verify payment is complete before handing over items
Meeting for Pickup
Since all VendGros transactions involve in-person pickup, follow these safety tips:
- Choose safe locations: Meet in well-lit, public places when possible
- Bring someone with you: Consider having another person present for large transactions
- Meet during daylight: Schedule pickups during daytime hours
- Tell someone your plans: Let a friend or family member know where you’ll be
- Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, don’t proceed with the transaction
- Stay in communication: Use VendGros messaging to coordinate and keep a record
Recognizing Scams
Red Flags to Watch For
- Requests to communicate or pay outside the platform
- Prices significantly below market value
- Pressure to complete transactions quickly
- Poor communication or evasive answers
- Sellers refusing to provide product details or photos

Common Scam Types
- Phishing: Fake emails or messages asking for login credentials
- No-shows: Buyers who place orders but never pick up (deposits help prevent this)
- Fake listings: Products that don’t exist or don’t match descriptions
- Identity theft: Requests for unnecessary personal documentation
Reporting Issues
How to Report
If you encounter suspicious activity, policy violations, or safety concerns:
- Use the “Report” button on any listing, profile, or message
- Email our team at support@vendgros.ca
- Provide as much detail as possible, including screenshots

Our team investigates all reports. Depending on the situation, we may:

- Suspend or terminate accounts
